AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To establish and promote by every means closer social and cultural relationship, cooperation and mutual understanding among the Scheduled Tribes and other communities.
- Promote, safeguard, create awareness and act in furtherance of rights, interests and privileges of the Scheduled Tribes in the field of socio-economic & educational development.
- Associate, cooperate and federate with similar other voluntary and non-governmental organizations and centers of learning in the best interest of the Institute.
- Supervise, direct and coordinate the work of the branches of the Institute.
- To secure increasing association of the Scheduled Tribes in other States and Union Territories of Republic of India.
- To promote optimal development of Scheduled Tribes conducive to the dynamic growth of the economy through national and international cooperation.
- Acquire, purchase, own or take on lease or hire, disposal or lease and movable or immovable property necessary for the furtherance of the Institute.
- Preserve, promote and safeguard the tribal culture, traditions and languages.
- To organize and encourage cultural and sports activities.
- Promote, sponsor, document all relevant information about tribes and undertake research/studies on tribal history and heritage.
- To develop and promote the Institute as a centre of education for the tribals of Rajasthan and other parts of the country.
- Open Schools, Colleges, hostels, libraries, museums and vocational training centres to further cause of education and social development.
- Provide scholarships, books and other facilities to the meritorious and needy tribal students.
- Provide awards for outstanding achievements.
- Undertake, organize and facilitate study courses, coaching classes for University education and competitive examinations, conferences, seminars and research for the improvement of the Scheduled Tribe communities.
- To disseminate information on tribal development policy, planning and development by undertaking, or providing for, the publication of journals, reports, pamphlets, research papers and books, to impart knowledge training and understanding of the tribal development in the broader context of the social, economic and cultural development.
- Establish Regional Centres at suitable locations to promote and achieve the objectives of the Institute.
- To motivate and establish the coaching classes and residential accommodations for the development of women education in the field of higher education, technical education and professional education.
- To guide the unemployment tribal youths in
respect of new means and opportunity of employment.
